With the recent tourism boom in the UAE, entertainment venues and outlets are filled with people. Major sources of entertainment in the Middle East are the numerous malls that are full with shops, restaurants, cinemas and restaurants.

Recently, a leading mall in the emirate of Abu Dhabi was facing issues with their cooling system which needed an immediate temporary solution in order to keep their visitors comfortable. Andrews Sykes is always looking for ways to improve our customer service and satisfaction. After consulting with our clients, we learnt that one of the most important requirements is speed during emergency breakdowns or equipment failure. With this in mind, we added the new 9.5TR Crane & Truck (commonly also referred to as a HIAB truck).

Our new loader crane & truck allows us to load large equipment such as 100TR chillers units, 25TR Package AC units, dehumidifiers, industrial ventilation fans and generators without having to use an additional crane. This helps us provide a more cost effective solution while improving speed of delivery for our customers. read more

Andrews Sykes provides tent cooling for Dubai World Cup Horse Race

Every year in March, Dubai hosts one of the most prestigious horse racing events in the world called the Dubai World Cup. With whopping US$10 million prize money in the main race, this event attracts some on the most talented horses and jockeys in the world.

Apart from the incredible horse racing, the event also provided great entertainment before and after the main race with live performances by Janet Jackson and F&B tents, food trucks and activities for the whole family. Torrential rainfall hits UAE and Andrews Sykes provides emergency support

Last week, the UAE experienced torrential rainfall. This caused major issues around the region.

Our specialist Pump Division, Khansaheb Sykes, was able to assist with submersible & ground-water pumps to help the areas affected by flooding. This included basements of shopping malls, hotels, high-rise building, subway stations and roads.

Local ship requires temporary cooling & power while in the dock in port

One of the leading healthcare provider located in Dubai is one of the most recognized hospitals of the region. It is one of the most visited hospitals catering to hundreds of patients every single day. Due to a sudden break down in the main air conditioning system, an immediate temporary cooling system was required for staff and critical equipment.

After a brief site visit, our expert engineers recommended the installation of our high performance air conditioner HPAC90 supported by two of our 100kW chillers and 150kW air handling units. The unit was placed on the top floor with the help of a crane in order to give proper access to the area which needed most temperature control. Recently an event organizer contacted us with regards to a temporary heating requirement for a semi outdoor sports event.
