Dubai has one of the most spectacular coast line and beaches to enjoy. One of our Client decided to have his party on one of the beaches on the Palm Jumeirah Island. The views of Dubai’s skyline were amazing and included Burj Al Arab. The only problem was temperatures were reaching 35 degree Celsius and above.

They contacted Andrews Sykes to provide a temporary outdoor cooling solution which could be delivered and installed the same day and keep the guests cool. Every year, Andrews Sykes is called to provide temporary cooling for warehouses. We have had many requirements ranging from comfort cooling of workers to cooling products to avoid them perishing, warping or to avoid heat damage.

Some of the interesting projects we have supported include:

Providing cooling for rice storage facility in Sharjah. Certain types of rice release toxic gas when exposed to high temperatures and humidity.

Luxury German car manufacturer in Abu Dhabi. Requires spares and parts to be kept in particular temperatures to ensure safety standards and warranty. read more

We were recently approached by a global 5 star hotel, resort & spa chain to provide a temporary cooling & dehumidification to one of their facilities in Ajman.

Ajman is one of the seven Emirates in United Arab Emirates which is made up of Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Umm Al Quwain and Dubai. With Ajman only being 32km from the Dubai International Airport, it is fast becoming a major holiday destination for many sun seeking tourists from Europe, Russia and Asia.

To attract more tourists, Ajman is building many attractions such as shopping malls, golf courses, hotels, resorts & spas. read more

Andrews Sykes was pleased to support the Abu Dhabi F1 race by providing 2TR & 5TR Split air conditioning units to the pit lanes last year. This year we were pleased to support the Dubai Autodrome with one of their race days. Andrews Sykes helps District Cooling Plant during maintenance & repair shutdown

We were recently approached by one of the major district cooling vendors in UAE (also commonly known as utilities supplier) to provide a temporary chiller during their planned maintenance & repair shutdown.

Dubai is famous for its skyscrapers and high rise buildings. Each of these buildings requires huge amounts of cooling that are often provided by DCPs (District Cooling Plants). These plants often range from 2,000TR – 10,000TR of various chiller packages. Often the district cooling vendors need to shut down the plant for maintenance & repairs. This might include routine maintenance, replacement of chiller spare parts or repairing damaged pipework. read more

One of the leading malls in Abu Dhabi needed urgent cooling!

With the recent tourism boom in the UAE, entertainment venues and outlets are filled with people. Major sources of entertainment in the Middle East are the numerous malls that are full with shops, restaurants, cinemas and restaurants.

Recently, a leading mall in the emirate of Abu Dhabi was facing issues with their cooling system which needed an immediate temporary solution in order to keep their visitors comfortable. The most affected area was the food court section where the entire area was packed with hundreds of visitors at any given time. How cooling can benefit your outdoor workforce

With summer fast approaching, many of our Clients in the UAE & GCC have work forces working outside or in warehouses and factories. These areas can heat up to the ambient temperature which is 40 – 46 degree Celsius in summer.

The effects of heat on people working in hot conditions include fatigue, poor concentration, heat stroke, sickness and organ failure.

Drinks loads of water: avoid caffeinated & alcoholic drinks. Sugary/soda drinks take longer than water & sports drinks to be absorbed by the body so avoid these if working outdoors. read more

New 9.5TR Loader Crane & Truck joins our fleet!

Andrews Sykes is always looking for ways to improve our customer service and satisfaction. After consulting with our clients, we learnt that one of the most important requirements is speed during emergency breakdowns or equipment failure. With this in mind, we added the new 9.5TR Crane & Truck (commonly also referred to as a HIAB truck).

Our new loader crane & truck allows us to load large equipment such as 100TR chillers units, 25TR Package AC units, dehumidifiers, industrial ventilation fans and generators without having to use an additional crane. This helps us provide a more cost effective solution while improving speed of delivery for our customers. read more
