Sheep experience heat stress to some degree on days of above average heat. On the other hand, they are as well adept in keeping their bodies cool by increasing their respiration rate and also release some sweat.
Lambs and pregnant ewes are more prone to heat stress due to their lower level of heat threshold. During the summer months of Middle East, the high temperatures may make them vulnerable to diseases, result in loss of appetite and weight.
